Green Man Workshop
Wednesday 29th May 2019
This is a full day, mixed-ability workshop catering for children aged 8 years and above. Each student will make a ceramic Green Man and the finished piece of work will be good enough to give as a gift (for Father’s Day?) or to hang on a bedroom wall. There will be a maximum of 10 participants.
Date and Location
10am - 4pm on Wednesday 29th May 2019 at Woodmeadow Garden Centre, Kettering Road, Hannington, Northamptonshire, NN6 9TD.
The day will begin with some ‘warm up’ activities to get used to the feel of the clay, and then there will be a step by step demonstration of what to do to make a basic Green Man.
Everyone will be given the opportunity to work at their own pace.
Lunch will be around 12.15pm or at the nearest convenient break-off point.
Once the Green Man is finished, students will have the opportunity to try some other activities with clay.
At the end of the afternoon the finished work will be left to dry, and will be fired during the week, ready for collection from the following Wednesday.
Clay, tools and refreshments will be in plentiful supply. Participants will need to provide their own apron.
£45 to include tuition, clay and tools, a cooked lunch (chicken nuggets/fish fingers/pizza and chips) followed by ice cream at The Hearty Tearoom (on site) and refreshments throughout the day.
